Federal Fees

Telecommunications services are subject to several different fees, surcharges, and taxes.  At the federal level, carriers are required to contribute to various funds on the basis of their interstate and international revenues, as reported on the annual FCC Form 499-A.  Currently, telecommunications carriers, and certain other providers of telecommunications are required to contribute to funds to support universal service (“USF”), telecommunications relay service (“TRS”), North American Numbering Plan Administration (“NANPA”), local number portability (“LNP”), and FCC Regulatory Fees.  The Commpliance Group can assist you with all of your federal regulatory fee requirements, including 499 registration, and annual and quarterly 499 reporting requirements.
